Success at North Somerset Jobs Fair

01 April 2014

We were one of a number of North Somerset employers who attended the North Somerset Council jobs fair on Tuesday 25 March.

Around 1,000 people attended the Jobs Fair, which was organised by North Somerset Council and took place at the Winter Gardens in Weston.

The event offered anyone looking for a job or thinking of a new career the opportunity to meet with some of the area’s biggest employers.

There were 38 stands in total, with employers from all sectors and a range of organisations providing advice and support, including Westonworks, Ready4work, North Somerset Enterprise Agency and Weston College.

Jill Cowles, our Apprenticeship and Employer Engagement Officer, said ‘We had lots of visitors at our stand, from people looking for career changes or seeking to return to work after a break, to graduates and budding apprentices.

Most were interested in administrative roles but there was a great deal of interest in the diverse work that Knightstone does. Everyone went away with information on how to find out about future vacancies.’

We have recently welcomed our new Into Work Team who will be on hand to help and support residents to access employment, training and volunteering opportunities both within Knightstone and with external companies and providers.
