We've welcomed two new members to our Board
We've strengthened our Board with the appointment of Tony MacGregor and Antony Durbacz.
Talking about the new shape of the Board, Nick Medhurst, our Chair of the Board, said: ‘We’ve revised our recruitment process and restructured our Board membership to ensure we have the right mix of commercial and housing management skills that we need to respond to the changes facing the social housing sector. More than ever before, this is a time when it is vital that housing association Boards provide strong leadership so that we can continue to support our resident customers and build new homes for those in housing need.
“We welcome the experience and commitment that Tony and Anthony bring to the Board. With their arrival we now have a high calibre Board of seven Directors with an impressive and complementary range of skills. Coupled with the changes to our governance processes that we have implemented over the past year, and supported by a strong executive team, we’re in a good position to address the challenges and opportunities which lie ahead.”
Tony MacGregor is an accomplished Finance Director with executive experience in international reinsurance and UK social housing. He has non-executive experience in social housing and as a charity trustee. His last executive role was as Group Finance Director of DCH, a social housing provider in Devon and Cornwall.
Tony said: “I wanted to join Knightstone because it helps those who cannot afford the full market cost of housing, by providing quality homes for affordable rent and sale. It’s a company committed to improving its customer service and efficiency against a challenging economic and government policy background.”
Antony Durbacz is a chartered accountant with 25 years’ commercial experience as a Finance Director with major international companies. He’s held executive leadership roles in blue chip companies in both the UK and Europe. He has experience of all aspects of business management including financial control, business development, strategic planning and corporate governance.
Antony said: “I’m very pleased to be joining the Board at Knightstone, a significant provider of affordable housing in the south west, at such an important time for housing in the region. I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue Knightstone’s excellent reputation for delivering quality housing and excellent services to our residents and communities. I am particularly keen to ensure we deliver value for money so that we can continue to invest in building new homes and delivering improved quality services.”
