We are supporting Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week

We are committed to tackling ASB and appreciate the impact that it can have.

We are proud to be supporting Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week, from 3 July to 9 July 2023.

We are committed to reducing ASB cases for our communities, with our housing officers and ASB and enforcement officers working hard to find solutions for our customers and communities who are impacted by ASB.

ASB Policy

We recently launched our updated ASB policy, which we developed following consultation with residents.

The policy outlines our approach to supporting our customers in preventing and tackling ASB, harassment and hate crime.

We take ASB seriously and are committed to taking proportionate action to resolve issues within our communities.

Working alongside our residents and partners to resolve ASB, we will build strong and safe communities, where our customers love to live.

Our ASB and Enforcement Manager, Michelle Kent, said; “We are proud to be supporting ASB Awareness Week.

“ASB can have a huge impact on individuals and communities. By working with other agencies, we hope to resolve issues of ASB.

“Where this approach fails, we will take more formal action, providing we have the necessary information and evidence, and the support of our partner agencies and victims”.

ASB Case Review

We continue to work with ASB Help, a charity dedicated to providing advice and support to victims of ASB. ASB Help have lots of useful information and advice for dealing with the most common ASB issues on their website.

We have signed a pledge led by ASB Help, promoting the rights of people experiencing ASB, and committing to support victims of ASB by using the ASB Case Review (formerly known as the community trigger process).

The ASB Case Review was introduced by the ASB, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and allows victims of ASB to ask for a multi-agency review of their case, if they are dissatisfied with the response from the agencies involved, including LiveWest.

This can be done by contacting your local authority or telephoning 101 and requesting a case review. ASB Help have useful information on their website about this process.
