LiveWest: Creating Greener Futures Together

Sustainable homes, neighbourhoods and communities are at the heart of what it means to deliver a home for everyone

Working smarter

We are taking colleagues on our environmental journey, ensuring paper consumption and business driving miles are reduced, phasing out single use plastic at our offices and using environmentally friendly stationery.

Sustainable homes

We are committed to improving the energy performance of our existing and new homes. This runs alongside our core ambition to support our customers and address fuel poverty.

Shaping futures

We are working with customers and partners to ensure that sustainability lies at the heart of our organisation. We want to shape healthier futures across our communities.

What we're doing

We will increase energy efficiency, reduce our carbon footprint and improve living costs for our customers. Whenever possible, we will influence specifications and design to ensure that the new homes we build are sustainable. We will work smarter and from office energy and electric vehicles through to our construction supply chain, we will create a greener future, together.

Our 2023/2024 sustainability report

Welcome to our fourth sustainability report, where we are delighted to share our ongoing commitment to sustainability in the social housing sector. As the largest social housing provider in the South West, we recognise our responsibilities and opportunities to make a real impact in the region. We have committed to this through our corporate strategies to maximise our social value, maintain strong governance and deliver on our environmental responsibility.

Our sustainable finance framework November 2023

We believe that this Sustainable Finance Framework (the “Framework”) underscores and facilitates the long-term funding and execution of our sustainability priorities. It is important that the finance we raise in accordance with this Framework is transparently allocated to projects and initiatives that align with relevant sustainability standards and positively impact our underlying customers in a sustainable way.

Our stakeholders will appreciate that at the very core of our business lies the ambition to deliver better social and environmental outcomes for our customers. We seek to endorse this objective through our Framework.
