Spreading the message about the importance of StreetVet’s services for so many people and animals, our colleagues have come together to raise funds for the multi-award-winning charity as our Charity of the Year 2024/2025.
LiveWest has raised an outstanding £9,500 for the charity which will help deliver free veterinary care and services through its network of outreach services.
Our colleagues organised a variety of fundraising activities, including a pet competition (winners of our 'Pets on Holiday' catergory below), golf day, sponsored bike ride, motorbike event and more.

The funds will help volunteer vets and vet nurses provide essential care for the pets of those experiencing homelessness across the UK.
Stewart Tutor-Jackman, our Head of Organisational Learning and Talent Management, continues to get involved and help arrange the charity activities, he said: “We’ve had a great year supporting StreetVet, with fundraising activities taking place every month over the last year.
“We’re delighted that our colleagues have raised so much for this excellent cause, which really resonated with so many of us.”
Off the back of our charity partnership, we are delighted to share we now have StreetVet-accredited supported housing schemes to help support our residents and their pets.
By working collaboratively, this will support the residents and their pets at Stoke House, Albert Place and New Start with free veterinary care, health checks, vaccinations, preventative treatment, food, beds, leads and toys.

Since StreetVet started, the charity has supported more than 3,000 pets across the UK with nearly 1/3 of them, 929 being within the South West region.
More than 5,700 StreetVet outreach consultations have been performed across the South West Region since StreetVet started.
So far this year in the South West, the delivery of StreetVet’s services to owners and pets experiencing homelessness has cost around £9,500 and since 2024, 220 new patients have registered with the charity.
In the South West, StreetVet volunteer vets and vet nurses dedicate more than 3,100 volunteering hours to enable more than 200 outreaches a year to take place to support the pets of those experiencing homelessness across the region.
