35 new affordable homes have been handed over to LiveWest at a major new development in Weston-super-Mare, helping more local people access high-quality housing.
The homes form part of the wider Haywood Village development and have been delivered in partnership with Persimmon Homes Severn Valley.
Representatives from LiveWest and Persimmon Homes marked the handover alongside North Somerset Councillor Cllr Ciaran Cronnelly, who visited the development and toured one of two wheelchair-accessible homes that will soon welcome new customers.
The latest handover includes a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes. All 35 properties will be allocated to local people, helping to address housing need in the area. To date, 105 homes have been handed over across the whole site to help meet housing need.
The large development, which is set to provide around 2,500 homes by Persimmon, will also include new community facilities including primary schools and a local centre.
