At LiveWest, we believe in celebrating diversity, equity and inclusion - and this Pride month, our celebrations were as colourful and tasty as ever!
To mark the occasion, our SAGE (Sexuality and Gender Equality) group hosted a vibrant tea party and bake sale in support of Pride and a very special cause.
All funds raised from the bake sale were donated to the Alzheimer’s Society, LiveWest's chosen Charity of the Year. We’re thrilled to share that we raised nearly £300 through the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who took part.
The event brought colleagues together in the spirit of solidarity, celebration, and giving back.
Of course, no bake sale would be complete without a little friendly competition! Our panel of judges had the tough job of selecting a winning bake from an array of incredible entries.
First place went to Laura, whose stunning multicoloured sponge with chocolate orange icing was a crowd favourite.
Runner-up was awarded to a beautifully decorated LiveWest/Pride cake (pictured above), showcasing creativity and a perfect nod to our community values.
Thank you to everyone who baked, donated, and joined in the fun.
To continue the celebrations, we're also going to be at Truro Pride festival on 26 July to join in with the community and celebrate the month.
We'd love to see some friendly faces, so pop over to see us and see what we're up to!
Happy Pride month from all of us at LiveWest!
