Some of our customers living in Camborne, Cornwall joined forces with colleagues for a fun day of digging, planting, and litter-picking to revitalise green spaces.
Weeds were pulled and compost was replaced with new recycled compost. Over 800 spring bulbs were planted by enthusiastic customers, many of whom were children on half term. The whole community will benefit from their hard work and the green spaces will look great.
As part of our commitment to building homes and communities where our customers love to live, we encourage our LiveWest colleagues to take part in regular volunteering days within our communities.
LiveWest Community Connector Mai Evans said: ‘’With the support of our partner, Glendale, and nine LiveWest colleague volunteers, we were able to make the space over and that really motivated our customers. It was heartening to see so many young people working together. These events are so important to help foster community spirit and build a sense of pride.”
Mai added: “I cannot wait until Spring to see the mass of daffodils in bloom!”
LiveWest customer, Logan, seven years old said: “I loved it! It was the best day ever!”
