Residents at one of our Plymouth sheltered developments are looking forward to a warmer Christmas thanks to our new window replacement project.
As part of our continued drive to make our homes more energy efficient, we have installed new windows in all 41 flats.
More than 200 new double-glazed windows have been fitted and residents have also benefitted from the refurbishment of fascias and internal trims, replacement of all guttering and improvements to the roof.
The contractor carrying out the works, Arque, will be renovating the courtyard garden area as part of their social value commitment.
The investment demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with secure, more energy efficient and warmer homes.
Stuart Holland, our Asset Delivery Manager, said: “We really hope the customers feel the benefits of these new windows as we move into the winter season.
“Arque have been brilliant to work with and really took the time when they were first on-site to get to know the customers and have been very accommodating and understanding of each of their individual needs.
“The feedback we have had from the customers has been very positive across the board, and we have taken the time to listen and take action where there were any concerns.
“This investment underlines our commitment to making improvements to our current buildings and saving our customers money on their energy bills.”
Allan Farley, a customer at St Therese’s Court, said: “The new windows I have had fitted will really help with my fuel bills over the winter.
“It is great that LiveWest have made this investment into the building and they clearly care about their customers.
“We all love living here and this will make it even more comfortable and warm for us all.
“The people fitting the windows have been good to have around, very courteous and friendly. The whole project has been planned well and everyone is delighted.”
