Gas Safety Week is an annual safety week, which raises awareness about gas safety and the importance of taking care of your gas appliances. The Gas Safety Register, the official list of legally qualified gas safety engineers coordinates this important awareness week.
Paul Collinge, LiveWest Gas Manager said: ‘’As Gas Safe registered engineers, our customers can feel safe in the knowledge that we are competent and qualified to work safely and legally work with gas. When we visit a customer’s home, they can always ask to see our Gas Safe Register ID card and check the back of the card to make sure we are qualified for the work we are carrying out. Gas Safety Week is a great opportunity to remind customers about how important it is to allow us into their homes to complete gas safety check and servicing.’’
Follow these simple steps during a gas emergency:

- Do not smoke.
- Call the gas emergency helpline – 0800 111 999.
