Throughout June we celebrated Pride Month, dedicated to LGBTQIA+ communities around the world.
We have had a jam packed month here at LiveWest, with lots of discussions, celebratory events, Pride focused communications and of course, Exmouth Pride festival!
LiveWest are proud to have been a Gold Sponsor for Exmouth Pride this year, joining in with celebrating LGBTQIA+ members in our local community.
"It was a brilliant day, well attended by all members of the local community in Exmouth and the surrounding area. There was an emphasis of openness to all and big drive to include all members of the family. It was a long day, but I was proud to help out and represent LiveWest who were a 'gold level' supporter. It was great for Exmouth, great for LiveWest, and I hope the partnership will continue,"

In honour of the month, we caught up with some members of the SAGE group to capture their experiences of being an LGBTQIA+ member at LiveWest. It is warming to see our EDI values being reflected in these discussions:
Towards the end of the month, we held a Pride tea party at our Tolvaddon office. After hosting a tea party during Pride month over the past few years, we saw it fit to carry out the tradition and go again this year!
Here’s what Emily Bull, head of SAGE group, had to say about it:

Pride month was a success and we are proud of our colleagues for taking part, celebrating each other, and embracing being themselves. Our commitment to our SAGE group continues all year round, but we look forward to more Pride celebrations this time next year!
