About your heat pump:

Heat pumps extract heat from the air, the ground or a nearby water source and use this energy to heat your home. Heat pumps use renewable energy to heat your home, meaning they produce zero carbon and are an environmentally friendly alternative to a traditional boiler.

You can find out more about heat pumps on our Heat pump webpage.

You can also download a homeowner heat pump brochure on the Daiken website.

How to use a heat pump:

Unlike a traditional boiler, heat pumps work by providing lower temperature heat (around 19C) over a longer period of time, rather than high levels of heat in short bursts. Because of this, you will need to use your heat pump differently to how you may use your boiler.

Rather than turning the heat pump on and off like you might do with a traditional boiler, heat pumps are cheaper and warmer to leave turned on all day. If you have a heat pump and are finding your energy bills are higher than expected, this may be because you have been switching the heat pump off and on, costing you more money.
