We are responsible for this

If you experience electrical power loss in your home and poor lighting could cause an accident please report this to us.

Have you checked your electric prepayment meter for any error messages?  Back to top

If the screen on your electric prepayment meter is blank or showing a message such as ‘error’, ‘call help’ or ‘battery’, there could be a fault with the meter.

Contact your electricity supplier as soon as possible to arrange for it to be repaired or replaced.

Do you need to add more credit to your electrical meter? Back to top

If you have an electrical token meter in your home , check if you have credit on your card as you may need to top this up.

Have you checked if your neighbours have power? Back to top

Ask your neighbours to see if they have also lost their electricity supply.

If your neighbours do have power, check your electrical mains trip switch.
If the trip switch is off, try switching it back on. If it switches off again, one of your appliances may be faulty. Unplug all appliances and then reset the trip switch to identify which appliance caused the issue.

Have you checked if a power cut has been reported in your neighbourhood? Back to top

Check with Western Power if their is a power cut recorded for your neighbourhood. You can find the current list of power outages on the Western Power website.
